Research Higher Degrees
The School of Education aims to provide a quality environment that supports Research Higher Degree (RHD) candidates' development as educational researchers.
We provide a high standard of supervision for our RHD candidates, with many of our academic staff enjoying international reputations for their quality of research. The School is committed to supporting RHD candidates and ensuring they are welcomed into the research fabric of the School. A range of support is offered to candidates including provision of a dedicated workspace, access to funds for research related costs, opportunities to apply for conference grants, and provision of professional learning workshops and opportunities to test and share ideas with fellow researchers.
Full time PhD candidates in the School have access to $1500 per year for 3 years (or part time equivalent. Full time MPhil candidates have access to $1500 per year for two years (or part time equivalent).
Through hosting regular professional learning workshops, fortnightly Staff and Students Talking about Research (SSTAR) Sessions and biannual SSTAR conferences, candidates are provided an opportunity to test and share ideas with fellow researchers, prepare for confirmation or a national or international conference.
