Job Summary

As an Account Manager you will provide day to day support for allocated customer accounts within a business. Serving as the primary point of contact between an organisation and its customers, Account Managers will maintain and build upon existing relationships with clients, as well as looking for opportunities for potential new clients. Depending on the size of the company, Account Managers might manage a single account or they may have a whole portfolio of clients. An Account Manager might have responsibility for an account at national level or global level.

Entrance Requirements

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Communications or Business are strongly desirable to become an account manager together with relevant experience.

Typical employers include direct marketing consultancies and agencies, marketing departments and major commercial organisations.
