A Creative Director in an advertising agency oversees the creative team and all creative projects. The team usually includes copywriters and designers. The Creative Director is responsible for the overall quality of work produced which involves:

  • Working directly with the client of Account Executives to ensure that goals and objectives are being met
  • Translating marketing objectives into creative strategies
  • Managing creative projects from concept to completion

Strong experience in either copywriting or design is expected. Familiarity with various graphics applications such as Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXpress, InDesign and Flash together with HTML and other web products is required. Strong interpersonal, management and team skills are essential.
