Real Estate Appraiser and Researcher

» search for more Jobs

Real estate appraisers and researchers collect information on factors which may affect the value of a particular property. They take into account access to utilities, environment, zoning and potential impact of environmental occurrences such as flood. Their results usually form a written recommendation to their client on value and potential return of investment on a purchase. Geography majors who combine their studies with courses in economics or business are particularly well prepared to undertake this type of work. Employment opportunities are available in local, state and federal governments as well as the commercial property development and real estate sectors.
