A Senior Clinical Psychologists are experienced Psychologists with breadth and depth of experience in psychological methods and the provision of psychological services. The Senior Clinical Psychologist coordinates and provides psychological assessment and treatment services for children, families and adults with a range of psychological issues.

As well as performing the duties of a Psychologist, the general duties for a Senior Clinical Psychologist will also include:

  1. Clinical supervision of Psychologists;
  2. Provision of psychological assessment and interventions;
  3. Coordination of clinical activities of a service; and
  4. Involvement in service planning and policy

Training requirements include a four year accredited psychology degree followed by a masters or doctorate in clinical psychology, as well as professional registration. These roles will generally require a substantial amount of experience as well, usually five years or more.
