A voice coach works with a range of people who want to improve their speech for professional and personal reasons. Voice coaches teach techniques to enhance the delivery of speech and protect vocal physiology. Voice coaches may also work on language, pronunciation and accents. Voice coaches may specialise and work with particular clients such as singers and actors or other professionals whose work involves public speaking such as politicians, business people, television journalists and presenters, and teachers.

Training may vary, including studies in acting and performance, linguistics and speech therapy.
