Summary
The Master of Applied Management (Nursing) is intended for graduate nurses who wish to further their knowledge and advance their skills in management. The program will be of particular interest to nurses working in or planning to move into management positions in nursing.

This is a fee paying program. Australian students may be able to participate in the Higher Education Loans Program (FEE-HELP).
Program duration
Two trimesters full time or part time equivalent depending upon course availability. All courses are offered on a trimester (3 terms of teaching) basis. Nurses can begin their program of study in any trimester.
Admission criteria
Registered nurse with Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent.
NB: Registered nurses wishing to enrol in the program who have not been awarded a Bachelor degree should email nursing-postgrad@newcastle.edu.au.

Program Description
Candidates need to complete 80 units, 40 from Group A (offered by the School of Nursing and Midwifery) and 40 from Group B Management courses (offered through GradSchool.com).Approved Courses
Students are permitted to take other courses to meet the requirements of their program with approval from the Program Convenor.
There is an early exit option for a Graduate Certificate of Applied Management (Nursing) award at 40 units, 20 units from Group A and 20 units from Group B.
