Cynthia Boyle was born and educated in the USA. Since 1969 she has lived and worked in Australia. Her specialties are drawing and illustration. For many years Cynthia worked as a freelance illustrator as well as producing artworks for exhibition and running a small gallery business. Her career at the University began with the Newcastle College of Advanced Education in the Wildlife Illustration discipline. Teaching is the main focus of her activities. Outside the University Cynthia continues to produce a limited amount of artworks for exhibitions and some freelance illustration work. Currently, she is drawing images of the "trad jazz scene' in the Newcastle/ Hunter/ Central Coast region with the eventual aim of producing a book. In addition, since 1994, Cynthia has kept informal sketch and photographic notes of the rock reef at Cabbage Tree Bay, Norah Head NSW. |
