Blackboard
Blackboard is the web based learning environment that is used at the University of Newcastle. Blackboard helps facilitate the online interactions between staff and students and their learning and teaching activities.

- Information about tools and features not in use at this University may be documented (eg. Content system, community portal)
- Names for items in Blackboard may differ from those in the manuals because Instructors and Administrators can tailor Blackboard to their individual preferences (eg. My Institution tab = Blackboard Home tab)
- Instruction on using external applications, tools, content and services integrated into Blackboard via Building Blocks (eg. Turnitin, Equella) are not covered in these manuals.

Blackboard Course name
Blackboard Course ID number (obtained from the Control Panel within the Course)
Assignment name (if relevant)
