ITskills

ITskills is a suite of free self-paced modules that you can use to become familiar with programs such as Microsoft Office, Macromedia's design and media software, project management.  ITskills has over 100 interactive online modules for the PC or Macintosh environments!  It's a great resource to assist you in developing basic and advanced IT skills for your University work.

ITskills modules can be accessed from Blackboard

There are over 100 courses available, including:

  • International Computers Drivers Licence (ICDL) resources
  • Microsoft Office Training - Word, Excel, Access
  • Design & Media - Dreamweaver, FrontPage, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Project Management - Microsoft Project
  • GroupWise (staff email) 
  • Internet - Internet Explorer
  • Operating Systems
  • Macintosh Training Courses - training courses for Mac versions of the above
  • Accessible Courses - text-based versions of courses designed for use with screen reader software for the visually impaired.
 
Log issue

For each method it is important that you provide the following details

Your name
Contact number/s
Blackboard Course name
Blackboard Course ID number (obtained from the Control Panel within the Course)
Assignment name (if relevant)
Brief overview of problem
