Booking your EchoSystem Recording

  • EchoSystem can be used for recording lecture series, one-off lectures, special events, seminars, and conferences in any  EchoSystem enabled venue.
  • Booking for EchoSystem is essential and preferably should be made as soon as you know your timetable details for the next semester/trimester.
  • Theatre booking requests are made by contacting your Faculty Timetable and Workload Officer.

*Note: Screen Capture records everything on the visualiser (document camera), lectern PC or laptop computer screen during your presentation. When you arrive at the lecture venue use the visualiser, lectern PC, or connect your laptop and activate the projection system as normal. EchoSystem recordings will automatically trigger at the scheduled start time. Presenters only need to remember to use a microphone (preferably the cip&hyph;on one). Please ensure it is turned on and volume is at an adequate level.

By submitting this electronic form you are acknowledging the following "Conditions of use" which apply to the EchoSystem service provided by Teaching Spaces Support.

Conditions of use:

  1. Teaching Spaces Support does not guarantee that access to EchoSystem will be uninterrupted. You acknowledge that EchoSystem may be affected by outages, faults or delays. This may include (but is not limited to) technical difficulties with the computer components of the system.
  2. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate permission for all material delivered by EchoSystem. This includes copyright clearance and/or payments for any material that you have requested to be recorded.
  3. You acknowledge that you are providing Teaching Spaces Support with permission to record all lecturers who speak during the requested recording times.
  4. You acknowledge that any changes requested by you to your initial booking may not be possible unless two working days notice is provided.

To cancel a scheduled recording, please email echo-admin@newcastle.edu.au giving at least 2 working days notice.

It is essential that staff members complete an EchoSystem information session prior to using EchoSystem. This information session will identify how to use EchoSystem effectively during lectures as well as explaining how to manage your recordings in EchoSystem.

  • You must ensure that you have the appropriate course created in Blackboard to associate the EchoSystem recording.
  • For any assistance in completing the EchoSystem Booking Form, please contact the EchoSystem Admin Team on 492-17900.
