Instant formatting

If references you insert from EndNote into your Word document look like this, {Khan, 2009 #10}, it means that EndNote’s Instant Formatting feature has been disabled.

To enable instant formatting:

  • Select the Bibliography Preferences arrow Instant Formatting, then the Instant Formatting tab
  • Click Turn Off, then OK.
