Using 'Drag and Drop'
This is a quick method for inserting citations into
a Word document when you have both the Word and EndNote programs
visible side-by-side on your screen.
- Highlight a reference within the Library
Window, then drag and drop the reference to the
point in the Word document where the in-text citation
should appear.

Using Copy and Paste
- Highlight the required reference(s) within
EndNote, then select Edit > Copy
(or Ctrl-C).
- Return to Word and select Edit
> Paste (or Ctrl-V). If the
citation appears in the unformatted state - {Smith, 1995
#23} - use the Update Citations and Bibliography command
to format the in-text citation and create the bibliography
entry.
