The Alumni Relations office encourages participation in Alumni Awards.
There are different categories of Alumni Awards available to graduates / alumni of the University of Newcastle.
University of Newcastle Alumni Awards
The annual Alumni Awards recognise innovation, creativity, exceptional leadership and those who inspire others through their local, national and international achievements.
Nominations are open to ALL (domestic, international, under-graduate and post-graduates) of the University of Newcastle.

Australia China Alumni Awards
The Australia China Alumni Awards recognise and promote the exceptional and diverse achievements of Australian-educated university alumni who are now based in China.
The Awards will be made in different categories, to alumni that have achieved exceptional results in their field of endeavor. The recognition of highly-successful alumni will also demonstrate how the University of Newcastle can help people to succeed in an international context and across a variety of fields.
Entry is open to:
-
graduates of an Australian University, having studied in Australia;
-
graduates of an Australian University, having studied online;
-
graduates of an Australian University off-shore/twinning program, having studied outside Australia / partially outside Australia;
-
nominees must be currently based (ie spend more than 50% of their time) in the P.R. China, and must have lived and worked predominantly in mainland China for at least the twelve months before the launch of the awards;
-
entry is open to alumni of all nationalities, provided they currently reside in mainland China.

Indonesia Australia Alumni Awards
The Indonesian Australian Alumni Awards are an annual award scheme designed to recognise outstanding talent, achievements and contributions made to Indonesia by Australian alumni living and working in Indonesia today.
The Indonesia Australian Alumni Awards were first held in February 2008 and are an initiative of Australian Education International (AEI) at the Australian Embassy in Indonesia.
Nominations for the awards can be made by members of the general public in Indonesia and Australia, including alumni, government, education institutions, industry and business and so on. Both Australian alumni and non-Australian alumni are welcome to give their nominations.
