FAC researchThe Family Action Centre, as an independent centre of the University of Newcastle, is a centre of excellence in engaged scholarship, engaged research and dissemination activities. The FAC's programs integrate research, service delivery teaching and dissemination with the aim of significantly influencing policy and practice. The FAC enjoys a well-established reputation as a leader in the fields of engaging fathers, boys' education, and strengths-based community programs and evaluation. We have a major focus in three areas of research that link strongly to our familyl and community service delivery programs. The three areas are:
The FAC aims to develop strategic research partnerships in these areas and actively seeks collaborative projects with community and government organisations and other research centres and researchers. We also offer opportunities for postgraduate student research and post-doctoral projects in these areas.
