Cultural Program

The Indigenous Research Forum 2004 is committed to centering Indigenous voices and facilitating a diverse array of expressions of these. We aim to do this through the presentations as much as through a cultural program. If you are interested in being involved in a cultural performance of some kind please let us know. Monday 29th November 2004

During the 5:15pm informal gathering there will be performances by:

Creative Combat which is a collective that harnesses creative energies to make positive change in Indigenous communities. Jason De Santolo from Creative Combat is currently focusing on building synergies between Indigenous, activist and conscious music communities through community music and media projects.

Gudabah feat. Free B - local Awabakal boys, Astro Brim and Ray (Bud) Kelly will be coordinating contemporary and traditional performances including the "fire dance".

Romaine Moreton will be performing some of her dynamic spoken word on the night.

Tuesday 30th November 2004

During the lunch break there will be dance performances by local Community.

During the 7:00pm forum dinner there will be musical performances by local Indigenous artists and dance to our own DJ Weno.
