Student Support Services at The University of Newcastle, in association with ANZSSA (Australian and New Zealand Student Services Association) and National Disability Co-ordination Officer (NDCO) Program are proud to present:
The 2008 Enhancing Student Success Conference -
'Working Collaboratively with Students in a Diverse University Environment'
As student participation in higher education grows, support services are increasingly challenged to meet the needs of the student population in a timely and appropriate manner. Building on the success of the inaugural Enhancing Student Success Conference in 2005, which attracted delegates from every state in Australia as well as representatives from the UK and New Zealand, we would like to invite you to attend the upcoming, second conference on 12th December 2008. This year's conference is being held at the Central Coast campus of The University of Newcastle. The Central Coast campus is located half-way between Sydney on Newcastle, close to the F3 motorway.
The conference theme this year will be 'Working Collaboratively with Students in a Diverse University Environment' and the objective is to bring together student support personnel, academics and administrators to discuss practical strategies to accommodate this diversity and also share research and innovations in this field.
The previous conference, held in 2005, was a resounding success with participants from all areas of Student Support Services and the papers covered many different topics. Details of the 2005 conference and the papers are available at: Enhancing Student Support Conference 2005 website.
Our 'Green' Initiative
In order to lessen the impact of this conference on the environment, we have consciously adopted a 'green' focus. The Enhancing Student Success conference is being publicised in a paper-less fashion and all presentations will be made available on CD - ROM for delegates attending the conference.
