John Roberts will conduct a tour of Newcastle University from 9am, looking at ‘the bush campus’ and its collection of award-winning buildings by Sydney and Newcastle architects. Tour visitors will see Glenn Murcutt’s classic Staff House, Ancher Mortlock Murray and Woolley’s Student Union, and Stutchbury and Pape’s various buildings. Visitors will also see the Birabahn building by Stutchbury, Richard Leplastrier and Sue Harper, and the collection of buildings at the Architecture precinct, including the Romberg building, Grose Bradley’s ADS, and a new Suters project.
