This course will provide rigorous in-depth study of aspects of Chinese language carefully selected to strengthen area of study chosen by students concerned.

Objectives By the end of this course, students will;
1. express complex ideas in Chinese using the idiom and structures in the target language covered during the semester,
2. use the above in the correct register of the target language
3. perform translation tasks selected by the assigned supervisor from and into Chinese.
Content A weekly seminar throughout the semester on aspects of Chinese language with elements of culture and society.
