Asbestos-related lung disease, James Hardie, Medical Ethics and the LawThis seminar will be on a fascinating social, political and historical issue, that of industrial asbestos-related lung disease. Dr. Sue Miles, respiratory physician, will present on the history of asbestos mining, and production, on the nature and epidemiology of asbestos-related disease, and on the ethical issues involved. Sue will be followed by a presentation from the legal team at Slater and Gordon who have been involved with representing exposed individuals seeking compensation. The meeting will be chaired by Professor John Hamilton.
