Lecture on Emerging Music Technologies

Presentation by visiting academic Dr Jeremy Cooperstock (Canada) on research into technologies that enable musicians to interact in real-time over an internet connection


You are invited to attend a presentation by Dr Jeremy Cooperstock (McGill University, Canada) on emerging technologies that enable musicians to interact in real-time over an internet connection. He is briefly visiting Australia next week and has agreed to come to Newcastle and talk about his research areas including the issues of latency, sound quality and visual media.

Dr Cooperstock is a world leader in human-computer interaction technologies (including technology specific to music and medicine). He has undertaken many research projects and is currently director of the Shared Reality Lab at McGill University. http://www.cim.mcgill.ca/~jer/
