WAAP 2012 Winner $5,000 Acquisitive Prize, Jenni Kemarre Martiniello "Fish Scoops", hot blown glass
The Wollotuka Acquisitive Art Prize moves to the Central Coast and opens at The Entrance Gallery on Friday 12 October at 6pm.
Featuring traditional and contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists from around the region and the nation, the Wollotuka Acquisitive Art Prize for 2012 awarded $5,000 to ACT artist Jenni Kemarre Martiniello for her hot blown glass works "Fish Scoops". The $1,000 Interrelate Acquisitive Prize went to NT artist Candy Nakamarra for her painting "Tingari". A $500 People's Choice Award will be decided at the end of the exhibition's run on Saturday 27 October.
