Refugee Rights Forum
The Refugee Rights forum will be discussing the challenges, opportunities and daily realities facing refugees in Australia and more specifically in our local area.
A panel of speakers will illustrate the refugee experience by sharing their opinions, analysis and personal stories.
The Forum will end with audience questions and a musical presentation by Berias Masseque; an International Music student and popular Novocastrian musician and composer.
- Lulu Tantos, Migration agent , CEO of Northern Settlement Services and long-term advocate for refugee rights.
- Dr John Tate; University of Newcastle Academic, Politics Lecturer, broadly recognised for his work in several academic publications.
- Richard Hardy; a local Migration Law Specialist at Baker Love Solicitors, Migration Agent and devoted Refugee rights advocate.
- Kwabo Batende Noe; Newcastle University Student, Congolese Refugee and Refugee support Provider at NSS.
