Teaching & Learning Committee
The Faculty Teaching and Learning Committee (FT&LC) reports to, and advises, the Pro Vice-Chancellor and the Science and Information Technology Faculty Board. The Committee is chaired by the Assistant Dean(Teaching & Learning) and includes representation from each School. It is supported by the Faculty Quality Assurance, Teaching & Learning Officer.
The Faculty Teaching & Learning Committee role is to:- advise on strategic policy and planning in relation to curriculum matters, teaching and learning;
- advise on all issues associated with the conduct of undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework) courses and programs;
- advise on continuous improvement in teaching and learning processes and practices , including program annual reports and student feedback mechanisms;
- scrutinise program and course proposals and may request revisions before making recommendation to Faculty Board;
- oversee the processes for new and revised programs and courses, and program reviews;
- manage and advise on annual course development funding;
- any other curriculum, teaching and learning matters as requested by the Chair or the Pro Vice-Chancellor.
