The 2011 Honours and Research Expo is to be held on Wednesday 7 September 2011 in the Great Hall.
EXPO 2010 attracted well over 500 students and staff who had the opportunity to see how a future in research can be so rewarding and exciting.
EXPO 2011 will showcase award winning research projects by internationally recognised academics and students, through presentations from our speakers and many research conference posters and creative arts on display.
Come along and listen to our special guest Ms Bernie Hobbs, an award-winning Science Writer and Broadcaster with ABC Science Online. Ms Hobbs features regularly as a judge on ABC TV’s The New Inventors, and is a talking head on ABC Radio around Australia.
Hear from our two distinguished scientists Laureate Professor John Aitken and Professor Tim Roberts who will highlight what excites them about their research.
As well as current research students who will present talks and posters on their work.
Students will have the opportunity to find out about enrolling in Honours and Research Higher Degree programs offered by the Faculty of Science and IT, and what future career options are available in research that will inspire you to take the next step in your studies.
Anyone interested in pursuing research at any level should come along to the EXPO and also visit the Research Students (RHD) section of the website for further information about their study options, how to prepare, and the range of support schemes and scholarships that are available.
