Around 1,500 students will get their first taste of university life when the University of Newcastle's annual Orientation Program gets underway next week at the Ourimbah campus.
Pro-Vice Chancellor and Director of the Ourimbah Campus, Professor Stephen Crump, said Orientation Week (O Week) was a program of activities designed to introduce new students to the social, cultural and academic aspects of the University.
"Information sessions and workshops will be held across the campus to assist new students with program and course options, enrolments and registrations, faculty and library locations, study survival skills plus many sporting and social events," he said.
"O Week gives students the chance to become familiar with where they will study and what the campus has to offer."
