Tuesday 23 October 2007, 6pm
Harold Lobb Concert Hall, Conservatorium
Inaugural lecture of the newly appointed Chair of Music, Professor Richard Vella.
The modern day conservatorium is a rich mixture of activities including performance training, creative music making, research and community participation. Upon entering the music industry, graduates must be highly capable and adaptable to different musical contexts. Accompanied by staff and student performances, Professor Vella will present ways a conservatorium can embrace musical diversity. The future music graduate will be adept, innovative and savvy with the ever-changing times we live in.
RSVP: By 19 October to Jodie Haddon.
