Students are invited to register to attend this year's Asia Pacific Model United Nations Conference (AMUNC) as a representative of the Newcastle University United Nations Society.
AMUNC, to be held in Adelaide in July, engages students from diverse backgrounds and disciplines to address the globe's most pressing issues through debate and negotiation in the spirit of the United Nations. Participants also gain insight and inspiration from a range of pre-eminent guest speakers.
The theme of AMUNC 2008 is Challenges and Change: A Time for New Thinking. Through this theme the conference aims to generate new thinking to find solutions to various issues particularly in the areas of sustainability, diversity, equality, engagement and renewal.
The Newcastle University United Nations Society aims to send a delegation of 10 to this event. The conference will be held 6 - 11 July 2008 at the University of Adelaide and delegation registrations are now open.
Anyone interested in attending the conference should contact Nina Rossi - Newcastle University United Nations Society President.
