More than 500 delegates will converge on the University's Callaghan campus this weekend as we host the 2008 Students of Sustainability Conference.
Students, activists, educators and academics are expected from all over Australia to participate in a range of educational, practical and participatory forums and workshops from Saturday 5 to Wednesday 9 July.
Some conference delegates will be camping on Sports Field No 4 and the Eastern part of Car Park 2 will be reserved for conference delegates camping in vehicles. Car Park 14 will also be closed during of the event.
Staff will notice the majority of activity in these areas and in and around the Hunter Building and Richardson Wing. Importantly, the campus has been declared an alcohol-free zone during this time except for licensed premises.
The safety of participants is of major importance and 50 safety monitors will be used by Security ensure the health and wellbeing of those involved. Any issues or problems should be reported directly to Security on 15729.
