Student mentors are being needed for all degree programs across all campuses to welcome new students during Orientation Week in 2009.
The main role of a Mentor is to:
- Show new students around the campus and introduce them to academic staff and university services
- Share with them experiences of settling into university
- Inspire and motivate commencing students to engage socially and academically while at university.
There is an on-line expression of interest form that you can complete and if accepted to the program, you will then receive details of the training sessions. Training will include a short 2 hour session at the end of November and then a day in early February 2009.
