The Tom Farrell Institute will host the "Climate change in the Hunter forum - a community focus" to provide the community with an understanding of the historic climate variability and trends that characterise the Hunter, Central and Lower North Coast. The forum will discuss the importance of this information in identifying the future regional and local scale impacts of climate change in our region.
The forum will feature Dr Karen Blackmore, a postdoctoral scientist from Newcastle Innovation; and Douglas Lord, Manager of the Coastal and Floodplain Programs Branch.
The forum will be held on Friday 17 October 2008 from 2 - 4.30pm at the Harold Lobb Concert Hall, the Conservatorium of Music, cnr Auckland and Laman Streets, Newcastle. Entry is $10.
