Forty-five organisations will visit the Callaghan campus tomorrow to recruit the University's brightest students at the annual Vacation and Work Experience Expo.
Representatives from finance, engineering and manufacturing industries, government sectors, community organisations and professional associations will be on hand to discuss a range of work experience opportunities available to students.
Ms Susan Eade from the University's Career Service said the Expo provided vital links between students and organisations offering paid and volunteer work experience opportunities.
"Work experience programs are a great opportunity for students to put their developing skills into practice and an excellent way for employers to attract and retain highly sought-after graduates," Ms Eade said.
The 2009 University of Newcastle Vacation and Work Experience Expo will be held on Tuesday 11 August from 2pm - 5pm in the Brennan Room, Shortland Building, Callaghan campus.
