Leading Australian structural engineer Professor Rob Melchers from the University of Newcastle is available to discuss the collapse of the Newcastle Workers Club building in the 1989 Newcastle earthquake.

Professor Melchers recently made public the findings of his extensive research into the collapse, revealing structural faults in the building.

Monday 28 December marks the 20th anniversary of the earthquake that rocked the city of Newcastle.
