The University of Newcastle has launched a new information campaign about the range of options for staff and students travelling to its Callaghan and Central Coast campuses as the semester kicks off.

The University of Newcastle has launched a new information campaign about the range of options for staff and students travelling to its Callaghan and Central Coast campuses as the semester kicks off.

On the move — travel options to campus is designed to remind staff and students that travelling by car is one of many options for getting onto the campuses.

"Trains, buses, cycle paths, shuttle buses — these services are there to help staff and students leave the car at home," Facilities Management Director, Mr Trevor Gerdsen, said.

"On the move puts all of the information at your fingertips to avoid the traffic, and help the environment and your hip pocket."

People visiting the University campuses can visit www.newcastle.edu.au/onthemove for bus and train timetables, shuttle bus timetables, cycle path maps, bike rack locations, car park maps, and other important transport information.
