NUspace

NUspace is our University's landmark education precinct in the heart of Newcastle's CBD, harnessing the latest in technology and innovation in teaching and learning to deliver a world-class student experience.

NUspace is part of the Newcastle City campus and is home to the Newcastle Business School and School of Law and Justice.

The Wollotuka Institute also has an office on the first floor of the building.

Students studying at NUspace have access to:

  • digital library services and information commons
  • collaborative learning and research spaces
  • work integrated learning
  • facilities for industry, professional and community engagement
  • social spaces
  • a café and student kitchen
  • parenting room
  • a bike hub and end of trip facilities

Teaching spaces in NUspace reflect new ways of learning that focus on collaboration and group work, as well as harnessing technology. On the first three levels of the building, standard lecture theatres have been replaced with flexible working spaces and booth seating. Levels 4 to 8 feature smaller teaching spaces, and staff areas. Social spaces and other facilities to engage with industry, business and the community are scattered throughout the building.
