Admission to Candidature

1. An applicant for admission to candidature shall:

(a) have completed the requirements for the ordinary degree of Bachelor of Illustration (Natural History) of the University of Newcastle or a relevant bachelor degree from another institution at a standard approved for this purpose by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School; and/or

(b) Produce evidence of possessing such other qualifications or professional experience, and/or other relevant attributes as may be approved by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on he recommendation of the Head of School.

Qualification for Admission to the Degree

2. To qualify for admission to the degree a candidate shall pass the program of study approved by the Academic Senate totalling not less than 80 units.

Class of Honours

3. There shall be three classes of Honours namely Class I, Class II and Class III. Class II shall have two divisions, namely Division 1 and Division 2.

1 The title of this award was changed from Bachelor of Illustration (Natural History) (Honours) with effect from Semester 1, 2006.
