The Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is an online program, offered by part-time study and usually takes one year to complete. The program will develop knowledge, skills and interest in four of the major areas in occupational health and safety principles and practice. The topics covered include: Occupational Health, Occupational Hygiene and Toxicology, Law for Occupational Health and Safety, and current practice in OHS.

A bachelor degree (excluding an undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety) or equivalent from an approved tertiary institution or other non university qualification and 3-5 years relevant professional experience approved for this purpose by the Pro Vice-Chancellor.

Programs are structured to provide opportunities for international students. Applicants will be assessed on an individual basis. This program requires completion of four 10 unit courses, usually two courses per semester. Students may take fewer courses over a longer period of time.

Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate will be eligible to apply for admission to the Master of Occupational Health & Safety.
