The program offers a postgraduate qualification in people skills for effective workplaces, to enhance employment entry and advancement prospects. Courses are included to enable students from a non-psychology background to effectively complete the program.

The program is designed to enhance the career prospects of persons in a range of occupations and may be particularly appealing to psychology graduates who wish to work in psychology but do not wish to seek formal registration.

All students can now enrol in an undergraduate Diploma in Languages alongside their main degree program. This diploma will enhance proficiency in another language or languages, and will increase international career opportunities. Subject to course availability, this additional program will generally add an extra year to studies, and students will graduate with a Diploma in Languages as well as their other degree. Please note that all language courses are held on campus (face to face) at Callaghan.

International students can only study the Master of Applied Health and Business Psychology online, and must comply with the University's English Language proficiency requirements.

To exit with the Graduate Certificate in Applied Health and Business Psychology, students must have successfully completed a minimum of 40 units of study comprised of:

Core: PSYC6000 and PSYC6050, and

Directed Courses: 20 units at 6000 level of PSYC directed courses

Students have the option of exiting with the Graduate Certificate only if they are admitted to the Masters program on the basis of an AQF Level 7 or 8 completed degree in a non-cognate area.
