The Centre for Clinical Epidemiology and Biostatistics is a multi-disciplinary Centre within the School of Medicine and Public Health in the Faculty of Health at the University of Newcastle. It is an integral part of Community Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology, Health Behavioural Science, and Clinical Pharmacology in the School, and has strong links with Statistics in the Faculty of Science and IT, Business and Law in the Faculty of Business and Law, and Sociology and Anthropology in the Faculty of Education and Arts.

The CCEB also has close associations with other groups within the Faculty of Health such as General Practice, Medicine, Psychiatry, Reproductive Medicine and Surgical Science. These multi-disciplinary links provide students with an opportunity to participate in research projects in these disciplines and obtain direct experience in a variety of practical research methods.
