Overview
The Centre provides a focus for special education and disability research activity across three areas of the Faculty of Education and Arts:

Special Education Centre on the Callaghan Campus,

Central Coast Campus, and
-
RIDBC Renwick Centre at the Royal Institute of Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) in Sydney.
Staff Research
Staff conduct research in a wide variety of areas, including applied research relating to the programs that operate through the Special Education Centre at Callaghan and RIDBC in Sydney, and in relation to special education and educational and community support for adults with a disability.
Postgraduate Research
The Centre for Special Education and Disability Studies supports research higher degree students in the fields of special education and disability studies.
Other Services
The Centre also provides research and consultancy services to government and non-government organisations. There is an extensive program of continuing professional education - particularly through RIDBC Renwick Centre.
