The Caravan Project

To assist, provide, design, encourage, promote

The Caravan Project supports children, families and residents who live in caravan parks and manufactured-home villages. We began in 1986 with funding from the Bernard van Leer Foundation, are now funded by the NSW Department of Community Services and Telstra Foundation Community Development Fundm.

The Caravan Project also works collaboratively with other agencies, such as Upper Hunter Community Health. This project won a Hunter New England Health Quality Award for Best Innovation for a project improving service delivery to caravan park residents in Scone. A PowerPoint presentation detailing the project is available for download.

Our team acknowledges the assets and strengths of park residents and families. We work with residents and families to develop their existing assets and strengths to further build empowered communities.
