About the Renwick Centre Library
Renwick Centre Library is a highly specialised resource centre providing an efficient information service to support the centre's research and postgraduate programs, as well as the professional information needs of Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children staff.
The Library is linked to the University of Newcastle NEWCAT system, accessing a range of online services, including research databases, indexes and abstracts. Resources on site include online databases, audiovisual kits, CDs, DVD-Videos, specialised journals, newsletters and monographs.
Information literacy skills are essential for postgraduate students and researchers involved in discovering and evaluating the literature of a subject area, and for developing information awareness strategies needed to remain current in an increasingly complex, information rich research and professional environment.
