NHMRC Reporting (Activities for the Year 2010)
Progress Reports
In accordance with the NHMRC Deed of Agreement, Progress Reports must be submitted to the NHMRC by 30 April following each calendar year in which there were payments or carry-forward of funds for a NHMRC Grant Funding Agreement, except the final year when the Final Report form must be used.
Applicable Grants: Project Grants, Development Grants, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Special Program Grants, Program Grants, Program in Medical Genomics Grant and Strategic Awards.
*Please note, Progress Reporting will not be conducted within RGMS as planned and will follow a similar procedure to previous years*
NHMRC have indicated that signed, electronic versions of Progress Reports are preferred and we wish to follow this procedure.
Submission Procedure
- Download and complete the Progress Report Template (Word doc113kb)
- Insert your name, electronic signature and date.
- Email the Report to your Head of School for insertion of their name, electronic signature and date.
- Email the completed Report (in Word) to Rebecca Ford by Friday 15 April 2011. DO NOT CONVERT TO PDF.
- The Research Office will add the RAO's signature and submit the Report to the NHMRC on your behalf.
If you encounter any issues with the above procedure, a signed paper copy of the Report can be delivered/posted to Rebecca Ford in the Research Office.
All Reports that meet the Research Office deadline will be submitted to the NHMRC by the due date of 30 April, 2011. NB: If your Project was completed in 2010, you do not need to submit a Progress Report rather a Final Report which are due on 30 June 2011. Further information will be posted and circulated closer to the time.

Financial Reporting - Carry Forward of Funds
If you have funds to carry forward into 2011, you will be contacted by Joanna Tang from the Finance Division late in February 2011.
NHMRC require a justification to be submitted for approval if the un-spent funds from 2010 to carry forward into 2011 is greater than 25% of the 2009 budget. If this is the case, please download and complete the below Carry Forward Form and Justification Letter (maximum of one typed page) and post or email to Rebecca Ford (ext 17733) on or before 17 March 2011. This will be attached to your Annual Financial Statement which Finance will complete on your behalf.
