Tertiary Music Scholarships
These scholarships are funded by the interest from money raised by a number of donors over a 30 year period. The intention is to provide a financial incentive for gifted students to study at the University of Newcastle. These scholarships are offered to music students from the instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and creative production majors within the Bachelor of Music program.
They may be offered at audition to prospective students or they may also be offered separately to continuing students, at the discretion of the Chair of Music, in consultation with the Music Scholarships Committee.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program
- Be enrolled full-time.
Up to five (5) scholarships are available, valued at $2000 and payable after the relevant semester census date.
