Our Teaching Team

Our team of Natural History Illustration staff has extensive teaching and diverse professional experience in natural history illustration and related disciplines.

Anne Llewellyn exhibits her work nationally and is interested in the use of illustration in communicating environmental information. Her current research in fieldwork methods takes her to a range of habitats throughout Australia and the United States. The traditional and historical underpinning of natural history illustration and how it is applied to contemporary illustration is also a main focus of her research, teaching and professional practice.

Dr Trevor Weekes exhibits regularly, with both solo and group shows throughout Australia. His art practice and research is cross-disciplinary working in areas such as painting, drawing and sculpture. He also has a keen interest in the production of artist's books, human and animal anatomy with a particular curiosity for birds and flight. His current research project "The New Bird" is an expose of genetic engineering and man's struggle to control his environment.

Roger Quinn has a range of specialist skills in the area of graphic design and illustration. His professional practice includes corporate identities, publication design and advertising and marketing graphics. Specialist skills cover illustrations in a variety of traditional and digital techniques, including technical illustrations, architectural renderings, cartoon and caricature, storyboards, product illustration, and digital graphics, such as 3-dimensional modelling and rendering and multimedia/interactive presentation design.
