Newcastle Business School Postgraduate Social Club
The principal objective of the Postgraduate Social Club (PSC) is to provide enjoyable extracurricular social activities for our postgraduate students at Newcastle Business School, most of who are international students. These activities not only provide a refreshing break from the rigours of study, but importantly add to collegiality amongst students and hopefully provide fond memorable experiences of their time at Newcastle. The longer term benefits of students participating in these events include the forging of long term friendships across different cultures, and nurturing the potential of building professional linkages between future business leaders.
The activities organised by the PSC include BBQ's twice a trimester and a day outing to a NSW scenic attraction in Tri 1 and Tri 2. For example in February 2012 the PSC took students on a Dolphin watching cruise in Port Stephens and in June the PSC will be travelling to the Wildlife Park on the Central Coast. In Tri 3 a Multicultural Performance Night is held that provides entertainment and food, highlighting the cultural richness and diversity amongst our students.
