Server and Storage Requirements

If your Division, Unit, Faculty or School requires an IT Server or other storage device the following process can be utilised to give you the best possible outcome.

Process Steps

1. Send email

Send an email to with "ARCS Queue" in the subject line and a listing of your basic requirements in the body of the email

2. Call ARCS Manager

Call the Manager - ARCS (Ossie Richards) - 4985 4388 to discuss your requirements and mention that a job has been logged with 17000.

3. Define solution

Organise with the Manager - ARCS the most appropriate solution to your Server or Storage needs.

By following this process the University will be able to:

  • Maximise our purchasing power when buying Servers and Storage, including accessing pricing with contracted suppliers
  • Ensure that the most appropriate solution is found for your requirements
  • Ensure that issues of physical storage, temperature monitoring, security and backup systems are resolved
