Committees and Other University Bodies
The Council is the governing body of the University of Newcastle.
The Academic Senate is the principal academic body in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor is the principal executive officer of the University and provides supervision of the educational and administrative affairs of the University.
The Council and the Academic Senate together with the Vice-Chancellor constitute the supreme executive authority of the University.
The Council, the Academic Senate and the Vice-Chancellor have each established a number of advisory committees.
