Informal Staff Complaint

Direct, open, and cooperative dialogues can often lead to a better understanding of the problem, and a quick and satisfactory resolution.

Example: Your leave application has not been approved and you are feeling very aggrieved. Through speaking to or emailing your supervisor, they may be able to explain the reasons for their decision and/or approve alternate leave dates, enabling a satisfactory solution to both parties.

Tip: Keep notes of your actions and remember the principles of confidentiality apply to you as well as the other participant.
