Student accounts

When you enrol, some of the computer accounts and services you have access to are:

17triplezero IT Services Portal (IT support)

Internet

BlackBoard (Learning Management System)

myHub (student portal)

NEWCAT (library catalogue)

NUmail (student email)

Print and copy services

Turnitin

U:\ drive (user drive for storage of your own files)

UNCLE (University Network Domain - log in to any computer on the University network)

To access any of these accounts, you must use your student number and password.

Remember to keep your password to yourself.


Accessing your accounts

In order to use computers and access systems as well as other online services provided by the University, you must activate your NUaccess account by following the steps below.

  1. Accept your offer of study at the University of Newcastle
    (a period of 48 hours may elapse before your student details become available and you can procede to step 2)
  2. Activate your NUaccess account
  3. Log in to NUaccess, change your password and answer the Authentication questions
  4. Read and accept the 'Conditions of Use'
